This map is just a brief example of the different languages and dialects used by Aboriginal communities all over Australia. This map doesn't give justice to the complexity and sophistication of the system created and used by Indigenous Australians.
Personally I was overwhelmed when first seeing this example. My knowledge of this subject is very limited which in some ways makes me feel guilty that such a rich cultural history has gone unnoticed throughout my years as a student. However, I can genuinely say that even at this early point in time I have already found an appreciation and respect for the Indigenous people and their culture.
